Palm Beach Gardens City Council
The City Council consists of five Palm Beach Gardens resident members elected to
serve three-year terms. A quorum of three Council Members may conduct City business.
The City of Palm Beach Gardens operates with a Council-City Manager form of
government, pursuant to the City Charter.
Mayor Eric Jablin

Mr. Jablin moved to Palm Beach Gardens in 1987 and has been serving on
the City Council since 1993. Mr. Jablin works in the catering and food service
business. He has worked on numerous community organizations with a
particular interest in education. He is also a founding member of Students First an
organization dedicated to the implementation of concurrency in education for Palm
Beach County.
Mr. Jablin loves the small town feel of the City of Palm Beach Gardens. He is proud that the human services in the The Gardens have expanded and are, he feels, the very best in Palm Beach County.

Vice-Mayor David J. Levy

Mr. Levy is a native Floridian who has lived in Palm Beach Gardens since 1989.
Mr. Levy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Florida State
University and a Master of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University in Geological Science.
Mr. Levy works as a professional geologist, providing environmental consulting services in contamination assessment and remediation. He enjoys coaching youth flag football, soccer, and roller hockey through the City’s Recreation Department. Mr. Levy has enjoyed raising his family in Palm Beach Gardens and looks forward to ensuring the City’s vision meets the needs of the residents he serves.

Council Member Joe Russo

Mr. Russo’s life of community service began in 1977 when he ran successfully for
City Council in East Hanover, New Jersey. During his six years in East Hanover, he
served one year as Mayor and one year as Police Commissioner. Mr. Russo then moved
to Palm Beach Gardens in 1984 and was first elected to Palm Beach Gardens City Council
in 1989. Over his course of service for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Mr. Russo has
been Mayor for ten previous years.
Mr. Russo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University. He is a self-employed Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Personal Financial Specialist.
Serving on the City Council provides Mr. Russo with an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community. Mr. Russo believes the vision of the City is the vision of the residents and the residents make the City of Palm Beach Gardens a better place to live.

Council Member Jody Barnett

Ms. Barnett has lived in Palm Beach Gardens since 1987 and currently resides in PGA National.
Ms. Barnett received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York, Binghamton.
Her career began on Wall Street as a financial analyst. Several years and hundreds of commutes later,
Ms. Barnett relocated to Palm Beach Gardens. Her work evolved to include the development and marketing
of small businesses.
Always looking for a new challenge, Ms. Barnett was fortunate to be awarded a Goodwin Fellowship to Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. In 2002, with diploma in hand, she was admitted to the Florida Bar, followed by admittance to the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida in 2003. Ms. Barnett served as an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County for three years. Currently, she is a litigation attorney in private practice.
Ms. Barnett enjoys serving the Palm Beach Gardens community and strives to ensure that all residents enjoy the highest quality of life.

Council Member Bert Premuroso
Mr. Premuroso has been a Palm Beach Gardens resident since 1969, after his family
relocated from Yonkers, New York. After graduating Palm Beach Gardens High School and
Palm Beach Community College, Mr. Premuroso went on to receive a Bachelor of Science
degree in Finance from Florida State University.
Mr. Premuroso works as a Business Banker for the fifth largest Commercial Bank in the United States and has 20 years experience in the banking industry.
Civically active, he most recently served for seven years as the Chairperson of the City’s Recreation Advisory Board before being elected to the City Council.
Mr. Premuroso looks forward to serving the residents and making Palm Beach Gardens a place that we can continue to be proud to call our home.
