Meetings

Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board
meets no less than once per month on the second Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
Art in Public Places Advisory Board meets no less than once per quarter on a third Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Community Aesthetics Board meets no less than once per quarter on a first Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets no less than once per quarter on a third Monday at 6:00 p.m.
Budget Oversight Committee meets no less often than twice during the budget cycle (June–September) on the fourth Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

General Procedures

Shall be a resident of the City (exception is the Budget Oversight Committee).
Shall not hold employment, office or have a contractual relationship with the City.
Shall serve on only one board or committee of the City.
Shall not appear before a board, committee or the City Council as an agent or attorney for any person.
Must attend meetings in person.
Shall serve without compensation.
Shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council and may be removed without cause.
Shall not have or hold any employment or contractual relationship that will create a conflict between his or her private interests and the performance of public duties.

Art in Public Places Advisory Board

This Board’s purpose is to promote greater public participation in, and access to, arts and culture in the City and to make recommendations to the City Council to implement the Art in Public Places regulations. The Board is comprised of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members.

Community Aesthetics Board

This Board provides recommendations to the City Council with a broad outlook toward present and future community improvements, which aesthetically enhance the neighborhoods and open space within the City.   This Board is also responsible for the City's Beautification Award Program. The Board is comprised of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

Members of this Board will serve as advocates for the citizens by conducting constructive investigation, discussion, and review, and by providing advice to the Community Services Department, City Manager and City Council with a broad outlook towards improving present recreational facilities and increasing utilization of the facilities by the public; and evaluation and recommendation of future community needs for recreational projects and facilities. The Board is comprised of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members.

Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board

The purpose of this Board is to make recommendations to the City Council on development petitions that appear before the Board, and hear and decide upon variance requests and appeals to administrative decisions made by the administrative officials of the City on issues related to the Land Development Regulations (LDR). The Board is comprised of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members.
