Youth Programs

DARE Image

DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education)
This is a school-based curriculum targeting at fifth (5th) grade students to teach them the harmful effects of, and the social skills needed to avoid drug usage. DARE also include components of gang (s) and violence prevention.


Good Touch / Bad Touch (Child Molestation Prevention)
This is an awareness program for younger and older children, to help them recognize and prevent someone from touching them inappropriately.


Pal Logo

Kid Fingerprinting
This program is designed to educate families about child safety by providing a personal safety document that will store a child's photograph and fingerprint for the parent.

PAL (Police Athletic League)
PAL is a recreation-oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily on athletics and recreation activities to create and cement the bond between police officers and the kids on the street. Currently the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department PAL is offering the following sports program: street hockey.

PAL is based on the strong belief that children, if they are reached early enough, can develop a strong, positive attitude towards police officers in their journey through life towards the goal of adulthood and good citizenship.


Police Explorers

Police Explorers
The Police Explorer program is chartered through the Boy Scouts of America and is for young men and women who are interested in law enforcement training, community service and recreation programs. The Explorers receive training on a regular basis to familiarize themselves with the law enforcement career and to prepare for Explorer competitions against other law enforcement Explorer posts from around the State. TIP (Truancy Interdiction Program)
This is a unique program to take truants under 18 years off the street during school hours, place them back into an educational environment and reduce potential crime and juvenile delinquency.
