Live Entertainment Permit

 On October 7, 2010, the City Council approved Ordinance 19, 2010, which included changes to the City’s Performance Codes, specifically the Noise regulations, and added provisions for live entertainment at commercial establishments. 

Effective May 1, 2011, a live entertainment permit is required for all new and existing restaurants, bars, cocktail lounges, or other commercial establishments which offer outdoor live entertainment, with or without amplified sound, and/or indoor live entertainment with amplified sound.

This is a one-time permit which requires the establishment (tenant) to provide the City documentation on the sound management plan for live entertainment. It is also transferable should the ownership change over time. 

If you are planning on having any live entertainment, inside or outside (including kareoke), at your establishment, please print out a copy of the application with the one-time application fee of $175.00 and a cash surety in the amount of $500.00 to the Business Services counter located at 10500 N. Military Trail, with the necessary documentation.
