WHAT IS AN OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE?
An occupational license grants the privilege of engaging in or managing any business, profession, or occupation within the City limits. Occupational licenses are valid from October 1 to September 30 of the following year.
After application is approved:
Occupational license will be mailed (USPS) within three weeks. Commercial locations may take longer since additional approvals are required.
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES FACTS AND STATISTICS
There are currently 4,000 occupational licenses in Palm Beach Gardens.
Approximately 700 new licenses are issued by the City per year.
Occupational licenses generate over $1 million dollars in revenue per year.
Occupational license fees range from $25 to over $50,000.
Occupational Licensing has its own professional organization - Florida Association of Business Tax Officials (FABTO.)
