This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Recreation Division with occasional interaction with the public. Performs a variety of unskilled and semi skilled tasks in the maintenance of the Recreation buildings. This position performs routine cleaning and maintenance, operates a variety of equipment, performs repair and maintenance of the Recreation facilities, and other related work as required and assigned. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisory staff. Must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. This position may have weekend, evening, and holiday responsibilities.
Please note: This position is eligible for the Florida Retirement System (FRS).

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required, or
• Any related combination of training and experience, and
• Experience in repair and maintenance work
• Skilled in the operation of various building tools and equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and independent contractors
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
• Ability to meet multiple demands from several people
Special Requirements:
• Maintenance experience related to buildings
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Valid State of Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record
