Community Services Aide I- Deck Monitor, Aquatics

Salary Range: $6.79 / hour

Responsibilities: The deck monitors primary role is to ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pools by enforcing facility rules. Duties include but are not limited to the monitoring of patrons, cleaning, policy enforcement and various other duties associated with the pool operations. The deck monitor has daily, frequent contact with the public; this position requires the ability to interact with the public in a professional, friendly, positive and tactful manner at all times. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and various shifts, as Aquatics needs dictate.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Student age 14 years or older.
• Must be able to swim the length of the swimming pool.
• Thorough knowledge of all aquatic events and activities.
• Certifications in First Aide, CPR and AED preferred

Special Requirements:
• Certification and training as required by operations
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds
