COMMUNITY SERVICES AIDE II – CAMP COUNSELOR

Salary Range: $8.81 – $9.69 / hour

Responsibilities: This position leads, directs, supervises and assists children in group activities, educational programs, arts and crafts, team sports, off site field trips, games and special events. This position will act as a positive role model, ensuring safe, diverse and fun activities with children in a day camp environment. In this role, you will safely participate in all activities on a daily basis, and ensure camper participation.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma , G.E.D. or graduating High School Senior; experience in youth programs preferred
• All positions must hold a current First Aid and CPR certification or have the ability to obtain one by June 16, 2008

Special Requirements:
• All applicants must be available to work the entire period from June 16, 2008 through August 8, 2008; this position requires working Monday-Friday from as early as 7:30am to as late as 6:00pm; approximate number of hours 35 – 45 hours/week
• All applicants who are hired will be required to attend a mandatory orientation on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 2:00pm -5:00pm, and Saturday, June 14th, from 8am -5pm
• Certifications and training as required by operations
• All applicants must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
