PLANNER

Salary Range: $46,931 – $72,119

Responsibilities: This position performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical and professional assignments in the current and/or long range planning programs of the City related to the development and implementation of land use and related municipal plans and policies.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in urban or regional planning, landscape architecture or a closely related field such as geography, public administration with studies in planning or growth management, and knowledge of municipal planning.
• Master’s Degree in urban planning preferred.
• Valid State of Florida driver’s license with clean driving record

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of zoning laws and comprehensive plans including their formation, process of adoption, and enforcement.
• Knowledge of planning programs and processes, objectives, principles and techniques of city/urban planning.
• Knowledge of personal computers and GIS applications
• Ability to communicate effectively, maintain good working relationships, exercise initiative and sound judgment in making decisions
