Certified Police Officer
To qualify, you must:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Be at least nineteen (19) years of age
Have a high school diploma or GED
Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license
Be in good physical health and free from disabling defects
Meet minimum standards for vision and hearing
Be of good moral character
Have a stable work record
Not have any convictions as an adult of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude
Have a passing score on the Florida Police Officers Certification Examination by date of hire
Salary Range: $43,500 - $75,730

Take home patrol car in Palm Beach County, (within ten mile radius from city limits.) Full uniforms, body armor, equipment, and weapons, (all Officers are issued .40 calibre Glock handguns. Officers carry issued AR-15 and/or Shotgun rifles on patrol.) Taser guns. Laptop computers. Modern, state of the art, police facilities: headquarters, three dedicated substations, and several field offices. Fully equipped fitness club styled weight room / fitness center (Cybex, free weights, and cardio equipment) , with full-sized locker room and shower facilities.

Police Officer Trainee Program
To qualify, you must:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Be at least nineteen (19) years of age
Have a high school diploma or GED
Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license
Be in good physical health and free from disabling defects
Meet minimum standards for vision and hearing
Be of good moral character
Have a stable work record
Not have any convictions as an adult of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude
Have a minimum of 60 college credits, or be currently attending the Florida AcademySalary Range: 75% of starting Police Officer salary
Upon successful completion of the Police Academy and the State Law Enforcement exam, trainees may become full-time officers.
