The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department's Volunteers in Police Service program provides needed support to the department's sworn and civilian personnel to allow them to deliver effective law enforcement services to the community. Volunteers and police personnel work in a valued partnership to provide the highest quality law enforcement services and an exceptional quality of life for the citizens of Palm Beach Gardens

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department provides law enforcement services to over 50,000 people covering 56.16 square miles. Our volunteers provide hundreds of hours of monthly service allowing sworn police officers more time to provide law enforcement services to the community.

Growth & Success

The Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program has been a huge success and continues to grow. Currently, the VIPS program has some 75 civilian volunteers including members of our Police Explorer Post. All of these volunteers have assisted the department in numerous avenues throughout the year.

As a volunteer there are vast opportunities for service. We work with each volunteer to help find the right fit regarding time commitment, special qualifications and individual volunteer goals. You can commit to one or more of the opportunities listed. If you feel you have a valuable service to offer that is not listed, we want to know that too.
