Mayor Reed is the 2022 Public Sector Leadership Excellence Award Winner, the 2022 Complete Streets Champion for Palm Beach County, the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient for the Benjamin School, and was 1 of 20 nationally chosen elected officials for the 2021-22 Smart Growth America Champions Institute. She loves everything about the lifestyle in her native state of Florida and her hometown of Palm Beach Gardens. Chelsea and her husband of 28 years, Michael, have raised two children and built their careers in Palm Beach County. When not serving in her hometown, mentoring, or volunteering, you can find her chairing several impactful boards focused on transportation, sustainability, planning, advocacy, and equity.
