The City of Palm Beach Gardens Sports Division strives to offer a variety of athletic programs to the residents of Palm Beach Gardens. Our mission is to meet the highest standards in the administration of athletic programs as we uphold the noblest values in sport.
The Sports Division has established a Policies and Procedures Manual based on the industry's best practices. To receive a copy of the manual, please email Gabe Cires.
Each of our Bermuda turf athletic fields will be closed throughout the year for scheduled maintenance. For a copy of this year's field closure schedule, please email email@example.com.
Field & Gym Rentals
All prospective field and gymnasium renters must fill out and submit a Permit Request Application.
Submitting a Permit Request Application does not confirm your rental. No reservation is confirmed until confirmation from a City representative has been received and the reservation has been paid for.
When sky to ground directional lightning is seen or thunder is heard, fields should be cleared and cover taken in a permanent building. If a permanent building is not available, seek shelter in vehicles (not soft top cars). A minimum of 30 minutes should pass after the last seen lightning strike or thunder is heard prior to returning to play. It is recommended that each permit holder develop an internal communication policy with their participants regarding when it is clear to come back to a facility. City staff has the right to close any outdoor facility at their discretion in the case of lightning and/or thunder.
The Burns Road Community Center provides open gym times to residents and/or students who attend school in Palm Beach Gardens. Students should present their middle, high school or college student ID card in order to participate. There are a limited number of basketballs available for use. Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult during open gym play. Times are subject to change but the schedule is listed below. Please call 561-630-1100 to verify if there is Open Gym today.
