All adult programs take place at the Burns Road Community Center unless otherwise noted and highlighted.
Adventures in Oil & Acrylic
Learn to draw or paint even if you have never taken an art class. As a practicing artist, learn ways to make your drawings and paintings more accurate and more exciting! Students will work from subjects of their choice and will be encouraged to develop their own original styles to reach personal goals. Supply list available at registration. Students may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to start time.

Sharpen Your Drawing Skills
Learn how to start your artistic journey off with the proper foundation. If you already know the basics, then let this class take your skills to the next level. Topics covered: The six basic elements. Advanced shading, depth, and perspective. Students may work in alternative mediums. Supply list available at registration. No class Nov. 22.

Further Your Photography!
This class will take you on a journey to become a better photographer by understanding your digital camera; learn camera settings, exposure triangle, composition, color theory and photographic styles. The class is hands-on; we will be doing photographic exercises and learn from the printed photos we will produce. On the first day, bring your digital camera and a set of up to three printed photos that you have taken, and you are proud to showcase. Prints can be of any size.

Create, Play, Imagine in Clay!
Discover the ceramic artist in you! All levels are welcome in this class that teaches hand building while receiving individualized attention. Initial clay and glaze fees included. Each additional 25 lb. bag of clay and glaze is $20.

Beginner & Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Class will cover the basic skills required for wheel throwing including wedging, centering, opening, pulling and design considerations. Beginning potters will be given significant individual attention. More advanced students will learn how to build larger forms adding texture, trimming methods, and altering. Initial clay and glaze fees included. Each additional 25 lb. bag of clay and glaze is $20.

KB Paint & Sip Art Experience
Enjoy a light Sunday breakfast or evening out with friends. These step-by-step painting classes are just pure fun and are created for people without any painting experience. This truly is “Art for Everyone.” You will be instructed one brush stroke at a time and be amazed at what you can do! Actual themed projects will be displayed monthly on our website, so you can get excited about what your finished masterpiece will be! Please note: Outside refreshments or beverages are not permitted.

At times, classes are cancelled due to low enrollment. If you are interested in taking a class that has been cancelled, please email the Recreation Department or call 561-630-1100 and put your name on a list to let us know that you are interested in that class. Once we have enough people to hold the class, we will try to restart that class.
