In compliance with the United States Lifesaving Association, the Aquatic Complex will clear the facility if lightning is within a 10-mile radius at any time. The Aquatic Complex uses the Weather Bug application to determine if lightning is within a 10-mile radius of the facility. If lightning is within this radius, or if lightning is seen, a whistle will be blown indicating it is time to evacuate the pool deck, and all patrons will be asked to clear the deck immediately and enter the Community Center. The Complex will remain closed for a minimum of 30 minutes as aquatics staff monitors the distance of the last lightning strike.
The policy of Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex states NO REFUNDS will be issued if the facility closes due to inclement weather. If the facility is able to reopen after the storm passes, there is no charge to re-enter the facility. Patrons visiting the pool in the afternoon are encouraged to look in the sky and determine if a storm is nearby. If guests choose to swim, even with the threat of inclement weather, please remember that there are no refunds.
**If the weather does not clear for the facility to re-open by 3:30pm, the Splash Zone and main pool will not reopen for that particular day.
