A Message for Our Businesses- COVID-19 Outdoor Seating/Use Plan

A message for our businesses on outdoor are use.

In consideration for challenges still facing our businesses, the City of Palm Beach Gardens has streamlined its process for reviewing requests for expansion of outdoor use areas.

Any modifications to an approved or existing outdoor seating/use plan, including the outdoor display of merchandise, will be subject to an expedited review by the Planning and Zoning Department.

If you are a local business and wish to expand/modify your outdoor seating/use area, you should email your request to Bahareh Wolfs at bwolfs@pbgfl.com. YOUR REQUEST MUST INCLUDE A DEPICTION (DRAWING) OF YOUR REQUESTED MODIFICATION. Outdoor music is allowed without amplification.  Amplified music is prohibited.

Planning and Zoning will review all such requests and respond to the business within two business days.  Your business will receive one of the following three responses:

  •  Approved. 
  • Approved with Modifications. (Necessary modifications will be provided to the Requestor.)
  • On-Site Review Needed. (Planning and Zoning will request an on-site appointment.)

These services will be provided to our local businesses at no cost. All approvals will expire on December 31, 2020, unless otherwise extended by the City.
