Labor Day holiday closures.

Administrative Offices Closed for Labor Day

City Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day. Offices will reopen Tuesday, September 5 at 8 a.m. The Waste Management pickup schedule will not be impacted by this holiday. Details for Recreation facility hours, including the Tennis & Pickleball Center and the Aquatic Complex, can be found here.

September City Council meeting dates.

September City Council Meetings & Budget Hearings

Your Palm Beach Gardens City Council will meet on Tuesday, September 5. The City Council will have its regular meeting at 6 p.m. at City Hall (10500 N. Military Trail), which will include the first of two Budget Hearings for the FY24 budget. You can view the upcoming agendas and support documentation here. Attend in person or watch via LiveStream at www.pbgfl.com/LiveStream. A second Budget Hearing will take place on Tuesday, September 19.

Burns Road Community Center closure.

BRCC is Getting a Major Makeover!

As of August 18, the Burns Road Community Center has closed for renovations, but our Recreation Department is still here for you! The Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Department is still offering programs at various City facilities, including Mirasol Park (12395 Jog Road) and the Lakeside Center (10410 North Military Trail).


Administrative offices and the service desk have moved to the Lakeside Center. It’s open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Recreation phone numbers and emails are still the same! To learn more about the renovations, click here.

Our Aquatics Complex is still open to community members. For information on lap swim hours, aqua fitness classes, and our main pool and splash zone hours, click here.


Due to construction, the Burns Road Community Center playground will be closing from September 5 – 19. In the meantime, consider visiting these nearby alternatives: Gardens Park (4301 Burns Road), Lilac Park (4175 Lilac Street), and Lake Catherine (9470 MacArthur Boulevard).

We’re approaching peak hurricane season. Are you ready?

The peak of the Atlantic hurricane season is September 10 with most activity happening between mid-August and mid-October, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Now is the perfect time for you and your family to prepare by stocking your disaster preparedness kits and taking advantage of Florida’s Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. From now through September 8, you can get batteries, toilet paper, flashlights, and more supplies tax-free. Information on the Police Explorer Program.

Join the Palm Beach Gardens Police Explorer Program!

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Explorer Program is looking for participants! People ages 14-21 with a sincere interest in law enforcement are encouraged to join. As participants, explorers participate in state competitions and regularly train in aspects of police including firearms, tactical strategies, legal procedures, traffic enforcement, and drill/ceremony.
