Santa’s Mailbox December 1-18 Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road and Riverside Youth Enrichment Center, 10170 Riverside Drive Drop off your letters to Santa in our special holiday mailboxes inside the Burns Road Recreation Center and Riverside Youth Enrichment Center. Tree Lighting FestivalWednesday, December 2 | 6-8pm Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road Join the City of Palm Beach Gardens for a night full of magic and fun as we light the big Holiday Tree. Pirate’s Well Wiffleball TournamentSaturday, December 12 | 10am-4pm Lake Catherine Softball Complex, 9470 MacArthur Boulevard Teams of four will compete to be crowned champions in this fun-filled tournament. Pirate’s Well Restaurant and Bar will be hosting an after-party with free chicken wings and one free drink per person. Adult and Family divisions are available. $75 per team. Recreation Gift CardsGive the gift of activities! Recreation Gift Cards may be purchased at the Burns Road Recreation Center and PBG Tennis Center and used for class fees, admission fees, rentals and even snacks at the Snack Shack. It’s a great gift for the holidays!
Class RegistrationStarting Thursday, December 10th, register online or in person for new classes and programs starting in January and February. Most classes have a minimum number of students that they need in order to run. Sign up in advance so they don’t get canceled due to low enrollment!

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's ClubWednesday, December 16 | 7pm The Woman’s Club will celebrate the holidays with a dinner for members at a local restaurant on Wednesday, December 16th at 7pm. Also, join them at the City of Palm Beach Gardens Annual Holiday Bazaar on December 4th and 5th. They will be serving goodies and fresh coffee in the lobby of the Burns Road Recreation Center. Holiday Winter CampsA variety of camps are offered during the winter break to keep your kids learning, active and entertained. In addition to our School’s Out Days, there are Sports Camps at Mirasol Park, Tennis Camps at the Tennis Center, Golf Camps at the Sandhill Crane Golf Club, and Volleyball, Basketball, Reel Film Making and “C-LEGO” Stop Motion Animation camps at Burns Road Recreation Center. Futsal For ages U8 thru U18, this fast-paced, indoor version of soccer improves players’ creativity, passing, and dribbling by focusing on play within tight quarters. Fridays, 6-8pm, December 11 & 18, January 8 & 15 at the Burns Road Recreation Center. Res/Non-res drop-in fee: $10/$13. Play concludes on January 22 with the Puma Cup Futsal Tournament, R/NR $35/$43.

Gardens Gives Back Community Service ExperienceYouth ages 14-16 can give the gift of JOY over the holiday break as the Gardens Gives Back Community Service Experience assists non-profit agencies in making the holiday season better for those less fortunate. Community service hours earned go towards hours needed for graduation and scholarship eligibility. December 21-23, 7:30am-6pm, Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road. Lunchtime Health YogaThe holidays can get SO stressful! Use your lunch hour on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:45am-12:30pm at the Burns Road Rec Center to destress and re-energize during the holiday season. Concentration is on balance, stretching and relaxation. This class is also great for the beginner yoga student who may be intimidated to try a yoga studio. Res/NR drop-in fee is $10/$13 per class or purchase a 10-class pass at a discounted rate. More information
LaBlast Dance to the beat in LaBlast class, a partner-free, interval based cardio workout that incorporates the dances seen on “Dancing with the Stars.” Tuesdays, 8:30-9:30am, at Burns Road Rec Center, ages 16+. Res/Non-res drop-in fee: $10/$13.

Adult/Senior Club Annual Holiday LuncheonWednesday, December 16 | 11:30am-1:30pm Club members and guests can enjoy a special Holiday Luncheon at the Burns Road Recreation Center, served by Recreation staff, with entertainment to follow. Senior Club Members: $5, Senior Club Guests: $10. Pre-registration is required; final day of registration is Friday, December 11, 2015.
BINGOBINGO is at Burns Road Rec Center on Mondays from 1-4pm. Arrive early at 12:30pm to purchase your tickets. Free entrance for first time guests. Regular Res/Non-res Guest Fee is $3/$5 per person or join the club for an annual fee of $25 Res/$50 Non-res. Free coffee, tea and snacks are served, as well.
Mah JonggLessons and games take place at the Lakeside Center,10410 N. Military Trail, on Tuesdays from 1-5pm, while games only are on Wednesdays, 1-5pm.
Movies and Book ClubMovies are shown every Tuesday and Thursday at the Lakeside Center from 1-3pm, except on the third Thursday of the month when the Book Club meets. Book Club is on the third Thursday of the month from 1-2pm, and this month’s book is “Ruby” by Cynthia Bond.

Holiday Food DriveBenefiting children attending Grove Park Elementary School and their families Thru Wednesday, December 16, 2015 - The Adult/Seniors Club is hosting this holiday food drive and is requesting that donations of non-perishable food items be dropped off at Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road and Lakeside Center, 10410 North Military Trail. Youth Recreational InstructionSaturday youth instructional classes continue in session through January 9 (no class December 26 and January 2). In general, players are grouped by age: 4-6 yrs, 7-8 yrs, 9-10 yrs, 11-16 yrs. Enrollment in current classes is still available, space permitting, with a pro-rated fee. 16-Under also meets on Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm. New session starts the week of January 11-16. “Little Mo’s” International FloridaDecember 5-7 Over 350 kids from all around the world will compete in this tournament, and the Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center is one of the host sites!
