GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club

Recreational Dance Classes
Ages 18 months – 7 years old

Baby Steps  (parent is required to attend) – ages 18 mos.-3 yrs: A fun class with dance, creative movement & music for you & your toddler.
Leaps & Bounds – ages 3-5 yrs: This class is designed to introduce your child to dance through music, creative movement and the fundamentals of ballet. 
Toe Tappers – ages 4-5 yrs: Learn the basics of both ballet and tap while gaining awareness of tempo and coordination. 
Ballet Basics – 5-7 yrs: A beginner class that teaches the basics of ballet.

180 Degree Hoops

A basketball program for players who are serious about improving their game. Former Palm Beach State College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Brian Mullican leads Monday night instruction for 10-16 year olds from 6-8pm, March 7 thru April 11.  Res/NR Fee: $150/$188. School’s Out Days

The Burns Road Rec Center is the place to be when school is out for spring break. Sign up your K-8th grader for fun activities and entertainment Friday, March 18 and Monday-Friday, March 21-25. Program hours are 7:30am-6pm. Res/NR: $40/$50 per day.

Spring Break Basketball Camp 

PBG High School Head Boys Basketball Coach Drew Quinn and Brian Mullican bring decades of coaching experience to this March 21-25, 8:30am-noon camp at Burns Road Rec Center. Kids ages 5-15 will learn new skills and become better players. Res/Non-Res Fee is $100/$125. 

Spring Break "Beach" Volleyball Camp

Players ages 7-15 of all skill levels will benefit from practicing and playing on the “beach” with Coach Rachel Olds. Improve agility and strength, two key components of the indoor and beach game. Camp runs Monday-Friday, March 21-25 from 9am-noon at the Mirasol Park Sand Volleyball Court, 12385 Jog Rd. Res/Non-Res Fee is $100/$125. 

Spring Break Sports Camp

Campers will go to two Spring Training games! Sports-minded kids in K-8th grade will have a ball, learning and playing several sports throughout the week. Field trips to Roger Dean Stadium for Spring Training games will be on Tuesday and Thursday. Camp runs March 21-25 from 7:30am-6:00pm at Mirasol Park, 12385 Jog Rd.  Res/Non-Res Fee is $185/$231.

NEW! Gardens Gives Back Spring Break

This award-winning program provides each participant, ages 14-16, a hands-on experience helping local non-profit agencies with community service projects. Each day participants will work as a team and earn at least 6 hours of community service. This programs runs March 21-25 from 7:30am-6pm and meets at the Burns Road Rec Center. Res/Non-Res Fee is $185/$232 for the week. Spaces are limited. Register online or in person. (Court-ordered community service is not accepted for this program.)

Fitness/Wellness Classes

The City of Palm Beach Gardens hosts a wide variety of adult fitness and wellness classes, including numerous types of yoga classes, water fitness, Zumba, LaBlast, Stroller Power, Intense Intervals, Ageless Grace and more. Battle for the Brick Pickleball Tournament

Winning teams will have their names engraved on a brick at the new outdoor pickleball courts. The doubles pickleball tournament will be held on Saturday, March 19 from 10am-3pm on the indoor courts at Burns Road Rec Center. Multiple divisions based on player ratings give every team a chance to win!  Fee is $20 per doubles team and $10 per single player (singles will be randomly paired). Register at the Burns Road Recreation Center.

Mah Jongg and Canasta Luncheon

Enjoy some pleasant competition playing Mah Jongg and Canasta with your friends and maybe even win a prize! A light lunch is included in this sociable event on Tuesday, March 29 from 11am-2pm at the Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road. The cost for lunch and play is $5 for Club Members and $8/$10 for resident/non-resident non-members. Please sign up in advance at the Burns Road Rec Center front desk.

Happy Feet & Hungry Minds Food Drive

The Adult/Seniors Club is hosting a food drive to benefit the students of Grove Park Elementary School and their families. Food may be dropped off at Burns Road Rec Center or the Lakeside Center. All nonperishable food items including pasta, tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, assorted canned vegetables, soups, apple sauce, canned peaches, rice, beans, tuna, corn bread mix, waffle mix, cereal, etc., will be accepted. Work on fitness and skills! Bring your racquet and your work ethic and be ready for two

The focus of these American Red Cross programs is to give participants the physical skills and safety knowledge necessary to maximize their enjoyment and safety in the water. Check out our swim lesson webpage for all the details.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training 
(ages 15 & up)

Need a job? We are hiring lifeguards for the summer and year-round. Take this Lifeguard Training class during the week of Spring Break, March 21-25, where students will learn the skills necessary to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, then pass the test and become lifeguard certified. After that, you’re ready to apply and interview! Visit our website for all the class details, fees and requirements of this course. (Ages 15 and up may take the class and become certified, but you must be 16 years or older to work as a lifeguard at the City of Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex.)
