GardensArt presents two new Exhibitions:

Sarah La Pierre and Margie Agoston showcase their vibrant collection of Thick Paint Acrylic paintings now through May 26 at the PBG City Hall Lobby, 10500 N. Military Trail. Please come to a “Meet & Greet the Artists” on Friday, May 6 from 5:30-7:30pm.

Also, from now through May 26, view the colored pencil drawings of Mark Sanville. His bright and whimsical artwork will be on display at Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road. An art reception will be held for Mr. Sanville on Tuesday, May 3, from 5-6:30pm. More Information

May 1st is the last GreenMarket of the season at its outdoor location! Shop from over 130 vendors selling produce, plants, flowers, bread, seafood, bakery items, cheese, sauces, crafts, prepared food & drink items and much, much more. The fun doesn’t end, though!  The GreenMarket moves to its summer location at STORE Self Storage & Wine Storage on May 8.

Gardens Splash & Dash - *NEW* date is Sunday, July 31. Register your little athlete (born from 2002-2012) by Tuesday, July 26 for this year’s swim-run event. Res/NR Fee: $33/42 for youth. Register online or in person. More Information

Adult Field Day – NEW EVENT! Saturday, June 25 from 8am-3pm. $200 flight vouchers awarded to members of the winning team! Three-person teams (ages 18+; one team member must be female) will be tested both mentally and physically in this challenge of challenges. Games will be kept top secret until the day of the event.  Held at the Burns Road Recreation Complex, 4404 Burns Road.  $40 per team; register at the Burns Road Recreation Center.

Register for classes and programs online or at any Recreation service desk. Don’t wait until the first day of class. Sign up in advance so classes don't get cancelled due to low enrollment.

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club

Wednesday, May 18  |  7pm 

The PBG Woman's Club will be installing New Officers for the coming year on Wednesday, May 18. This will be followed by a small dinner (call now with your order).  All activities will begin at 7 PM at Lakeside Community Center, 10410 N. Military Trail. We not only offer Classic Day Camp that has fun activities and field trips for ages 5-13, but we also have a wide variety of specialty camps for ages 4-18, including sports, aquatics, art/dance/theatre/film and much more. PreK Soccer Clinic 

The environment of this program offers children ages 3-5 a positive experience early in their sports exposure and will help to prepare them to play sports in the future. Tuesdays, May 24-June 28 from 5:30-6:30pm at Mirasol Park.  Res/Non-res Fee is $90/$113 for the 6-week session.  Sportsmanship, teamwork, and having FUN are stressed. Join us for Health Yoga with Rosalynn Garey. This popular class meets Tuesdays, May 3-24 from 6-7pm at Lakeside Center and Fridays, May 6-27 from 10-11am at Burns Road Rec Center. Stroke Awareness Month

Free Stroke Risk Assessments are offered at Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road, on the following dates: Monday, May 2, 10am-2pm; Wednesday, May 11, 8-10am; Monday, May 16, 10am-2pm; Wednesday, May 25, 8-10am.

BINGO continues on Mondays, 1-4pm, through May 23 at the Burns Road Recreation Center. Bingo WILL NOT be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30. Sizzling Summer Bingo starts at Lakeside Center on Monday June 6 (arrive by 12:30pm to purchase your cards). Resident/Non Resident Annual Pro-rated Fee: $12.50/$25; Guest R/NR fee: $3/$5

Friday Variety Game Days

Friday, May 6, 10am-1pm  – This increasingly-popular charity event for both men and women includes a fun Doubles Round-Robin followed by lunch, door prizes, and sociability. All proceeds go to the Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. Please sign up and pay in advance with checks made out to Rally for The Cure. Wear your Pink!!!

Adult 1-Day Singles Tournament

We are Hiring Lifeguards, WSIs and Water Aerobics Instructors!

The Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex is still hiring American Red Cross certified lifeguards and Water Safety instructors ages 16 and up for the upcoming season. Please check our website at www.pbgfl.com and click on the “Join Our Team” button for job descriptions and applications. We are also seeking a water aerobics instructor to teach evening classes. New Session of Swim Lessons begins May 9

It’s never too soon or too late to learn how to swim! American Red Cross group and private swim lessons are available for infants, toddlers, teens and adults. The next session begins on May 9, with registration starting on April 25. Check out our swim lesson webpage for all the details.

Makos Swim Team

The Makos swim team is welcoming new swimmers ages 4-17 to join this recreational swim team. Different levels are available. This is a great way for kids to stay fit and make new friends! Kids can have fun in the sun all summer long with Aquatic Camp, Learn to Swim Camp, Splash Camp, H2O Sports Camp and the Jr. Lifeguard program. The City of Palm Beach Gardens Riverside Youth Enrichment Center is proud to announce their Pre-K classes will be graduating on Saturday, May 14 at 9:30am at the Eissey Campus Theater. Good luck to all our future Kindergartners!

Our school is currently taking registrations for the 2016/2017 school year. This licensed, state-of-the-art, APPLE-accredited child care facility was established to enhance physical and intellectual development in preschool age children. Teachers use a combination of child initiated and teacher directed activities to promote curiosity and learning through fun-filled activities. Our program helps children learn how to use their developing language, thinking and motor skills.
