Class RegistrationStarting Monday, December 12th, register online or in person for new classes and programs starting in January and February. GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's ClubWednesday, December 21 The PBG Woman's Club will celebrate the holidays on December 21st with a dinner at Paddy Mac's Restaurant. Sports R Us Camp Week 1: December 26-30 | Week 2: January 2-6 Your child will have a ball in these fun and instructional camps, held at Mirasol Park, for K thru 8th graders. Camp runs 7:30am-6pm (organized activities begin at 9am and end at 4:30pm). Res/NR Fee: $150/$188 per week. A variety of sports will be covered and played; kids will be coached by former and current athletes to improve skills.
Basketball Camp Week 1: December 26-30 | Week 2: January 2-6 The Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association, in conjunction with Barry University Head Coach Butch Estes, will be hosting basketball camps for kids ages 5-14 from 9am-noon during both weeks of the holiday break. Campers will improve their shooting, dribbling, and passing skills, as well as their knowledge of the game in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Res/NR Fee: $100/$125 per week, or $25/$32 per day.
PBG Predators Soccer Camp Tuesday-Friday, January 3-6 This camp is specifically designed for soccer players, both boys and girls ages 5 to 14 years old, and will include several aspects of technical development including, passing, dribbling and shooting. Tactical games will be played every day which include small-sided world-cup tournaments and full-sided games to improve players game-decisions and conditioning. Camp runs 7:30am-6pm (organized activities begin at 9am and end at 4pm) – campers will play outdoors at Lilac Park in the morning and indoor futsal at the Burns Road Rec Center in the afternoon. Holiday Gardens Gives Back Community Service ExperienceTue-Fri, Jan 3-6, 7:30am-6pm This is an amazing and rewarding opportunity for teens ages 14-17 to give back to our community by volunteering their time and skills for local non-profit agencies. Participants can earn up to 24 hours of community service toward high school graduation and college applications/scholarships. Hands-on work experience and job skills are also put into practice to help build resumes and promote strong, self-motivated employees. Start and end at Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road. Pickleball LessonsLearn how to play the fastest growing sport in the world! Pickleball is a great game for all ages, combining elements of badminton, tennis, and ping-pong. Participants will learn the rules, strategies, and strokes and then put their knowledge to the test in simulated games. Lessons are held at the Burns Road Recreation Center on Mondays from 8-10am. Res/NR Fee: $5/$7 per lesson (includes admission to open Pickleball play after the lesson).

FEATURED FITNESS CLASSESZumba Zumba takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Break a sweat with instructor Ilena Rotundo-Camilo on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:45-7:45pm. Res/NR Fee: $5/$6 per class or $45/$56 for a 10-class pass.

Stretch & StrengthenIt’s time to Jake, rattle and roll with Coach Jake Jacobson’s highly successful training classes. The workouts benefit participants of all ages and abilities, from the gym rat to the sedentary, and the first class is FREE! Classes are on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings from 8:30-9:30am and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 5:30-6:30pm. Res/NR Fee: $7/$9 or $55/$69 for a 10-class pass.

“Jamie’s Angels” Special Needs Tennis Instructional Program, Inaugural SessionUnderwritten by the Frank family in memory of their daughter, Jamie Alexa, “Jamie’s Angels” is meant to turn young people with special needs into tennis players. Local teaching professionals will be joined by other volunteers in this effort. Saturday, December 17, 1-2pm will be the program’s inaugural session.

Early Childhood TrainingThe Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County will be providing in-service training at the Riverside Youth Enrichment Center on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 6-9pm.
