The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival presents “All the Great Books”Generously sponsored by BallenIsles Charities Foundation, Inc. Military Trail Join us for this fast-paced, hilarious show featuring three madcap veteran performers with the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival as they take you on a 90-minute roller coaster ride of all the books you didn’t get around to reading in school. Pizza, Music and Prizes! This is a FREE event for all ages sponsored by Locals Surf Shop and the City of Palm Beach Gardens. Locals will be on hand to judge contests (kids and 18+ competitions). No pre-registration is required. All skaters must wear a shirt and helmet.

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's ClubWednesday, January 18 The PBG Woman's Club will host an Art Festival and Jewelry Making Program on the 18th of January at Lakeside Community Center, 10410 N. Military Trail, PBG. The meeting will begin at 7pm - members will be displaying various forms of art in competition for the District 10 art show. There will be refreshments following the program. School’s Out DaysAfter the holidays, public schools have Monday, January 16 off, so send your kids to us! We offer care from 7:30am-6pm in our fun and active School’s Out Day program or School’s Out for Sports. Sign up soon before the spaces are filled. Res/NR Fee: $40/$50 More Information
MusikgartenSing with Me interactive music classes begin on Friday mornings at 9am starting January 20 for ages 15 months-3.5 years. This new parent and child class is an educational and fun way to spend time with your child. Each class is taught by fully licensed Musikgarten teacher, classically trained musician and early childhood educator, Jules Castro. Res/NR fee: $108/$135 for 12 weeks. There is an additional materials fee of $45 for a CD, parent activity book and instrument. More Information
Baby Steps* & Leaps and Bounds – Back by Popular Demand!Come to the recreation center for your child’s first dance experience! Miss Nicole’s Wednesday morning program runs January 11-March 15. Children 18 months-3 years meet at 10:15am and the 3-4 year olds meet at 11am. Res/NR Fee: $110/$138. *Parents are required to attend Baby Steps class. Both boys and girls are welcome to participate. GymnasticsProfessional instructors from Gymnastics Revolution coach several classes for gymnasts of all ages (1 thru 15) and abilities, including the popular new class, Ninja Fitness, for 7-15 year olds. Clay TimeNew art class for 9-12 year olds that teaches hand-building and sculpting techniques, as well as some time on the pottery wheel. Thursdays, January 26-March 16, 4:30-6pm. Res/NR Fee: $120/$150. More Information

Watercolor & Acrylic Painting: 6 week sessionLearn to use both mediums. Classes will include color theory, perspective, wet on wet and other techniques. Ceramics Class: High Fired Majolica - Food Safe & Functional Pottery
Students will learn coiling, slab building and throwing on the pottery wheel as well as working with ‘under glazes’ to produce a range of functional and artistic works of art. After glaze firing, the surfaces are brilliantly colored and ready to use or display. Wednesdays, Jan 25-Mar 15 from 6:15-8:45pm. Res/NR Fee: $240/$300. First 25 lb. bag of clay and glazes are included; additional 25 lb. bag including glaze and firing is $25 payable to the front desk. Extra lab time will also be offered on Thursday evenings. Scrabble, Mah Jongg & CanastaDo you want to play or learn how to play Scrabble, Mah Jongg and or Canasta? Check us out at the Lakeside Center from 1-5pm for Mah Jongg Games: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Mah Jongg Lessons: Tuesdays; Scrabble: Wednesdays, and Canasta on Thursdays. Friday is Variety Game DayThe Adult/Seniors Club is playing Social Bridge, Poker, Mah Jongg and Hand, Knee & Foot on Fridays, as well as informal Social Bridge Lessons on Mondays and Fridays. “Jamie’s Angels” Special Needs Tennis Instruction Saturday, January 25, 1-2pm - Underwritten by the Frank family in memory of their daughter Jamie Alexa, “Jamie’s Angels” is meant to make young people with special needs into tennis players. Local teaching professionals will be joined by other volunteers in this effort. The program will continue on the fourth Saturday of each month, January-June of 2017. Thanks to the Frank family, there is no charge for this program.

PBG Makos Swim TeamSwim Team combines stroke refinement, drills, endurance training, and fun games to improve a swimmer’s overall swimming abilities in a fun team environment. Water AerobicsThis class provides an exciting, high energy, low impact workout in our heated pool. Water aerobics is a great way to increase muscle strength and flexibility while alleviating pressure in the joints. All equipment is provided. Resident/Non-Res Fee: $4/$5. Private Swim Lessons & CoachingPrivate lessons are offered by appointment only on a one-on-one basis at times that fit your schedule. Our qualified instructors make learning more enjoyable for swimmers that are beginners through advanced competitive levels. Fall Registration Registration will begin for the fall 2017-2018 school year for all pre-school classes on Monday, February 6, 2017. Arbor Day Celebration and Field TripThe Riverside Youth Enrichment VPK classes will take part in the annual Arbor Day celebration by planting a tree at the City of PBG’s Lake Catherine Passive Park.
