Riverside Youth Enrichment Center Art Exhibition & Silent AuctionFriday, February 10 | 6:00 - 7:30pm Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road
Enjoy the colorful art on display from the RYEC program showcasing all of the classrooms, even the infants! Each age group has created a theme for their masterpieces that are too cute for words. Also, our 3rd Annual Silent Auction will take place that evening where attendees may bid on spectacular baskets, items and certificates. Please join us to support RYEC. All proceeds will benefit RYEC to support educational needs.

Gardens Movie Nights & Food Truck BitesFriday, February 17 | 6:30 – 8:45pmVeterans Plaza Amphitheater10500 N. Military Trail, PBG 33410 Kick off Presidents Day weekend with a fun movie night featuring the Disney movie, "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", at our outdoor amphitheater. Food trucks from Tacos Al Carbon and The Scoop Coop Soft Serve Ice Cream open at 6:30pm and the complimentary movie begins at 7pm. Cub Scout Pack #711 will also be selling the essential popcorn! Registration Is Open for Daddy Daughter Date Night - Now thru March 2, 2017We are currently accepting registrations for the 22nd Annual Daddy/Daughter Date Night that takes place on Friday, March 3rd. This year's theme is "Bop 'til You Drop", a fun celebration of the 50's where little girls ages 4 and up dance the night away with their dad or special man in their life. Applications Now Available for March Indoor Yard Sale
If you’d like to be a vendor at our next Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, March 11th at the Burns Road Recreation Center, download or pick up an application, complete and submit it, and pay your fee. Booth space is $26.75, $10.70 per 8’ rented table and $10.70 if electricity is needed. Early registration is highly recommended, as space is limited. More Information

Business Marketing OpportunityThe City of Palm Beach Gardens is offering an amazing marketing opportunity through our Summer Banner Program. This program runs March 1st through August 31st and allows businesses to have a 4’ X 6’ banner hung in the front lobby at Burns Road Recreation Center. With approximately 2000 plus visitors daily, the exposure is fantastic! All banners are provided by the City. Space is very limited so don’t delay. GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's ClubWednesday, February 15 | 7pm The PBG Woman's Club program in February will be featuring "Every Beat Matters, Heart Health", at 7pm on February 15 at the Lakeside Community Center, 10410 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens. Stay for refreshments and learn about the many projects they do in the Community to help others.
Also, on Saturday, March 18th, the PBG Woman's Club will sponsor their main fundraiser for the year with a luncheon at the Abacoa Golf Club from 10am-1pm, with a fashion show included. Happy 50th Birthday PBGYAA!The City’s provider of youth sports leagues, the Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association, turns 50 this month! The volunteer-based 501(c)(3) organization provided a safe, fun, and social learning environment for nearly 5,000 kids last year, a number that grows year after year. PBGYAA sports include: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Softball. HIGHLIGHTING ADULT ART CLASSES:
Painting in Oil & Acrylic with Nancy TillesLearn to draw or paint even if you have never taken an art class or, as a practicing artist, learn ways to make your drawings and paintings more accurate and more exciting! Students will work from subjects of their choice and will be encouraged to develop their own original styles to reach personal goals. Supply list is available at registration. Classes begin Tuesday, February 21 at 9:30am or 1pm, or Wednesday, February 22 at 9:30am and run for 3 hours each week. Fees are Resident: $130/Non-Resident: $163 for 5 weeks.

Portrait Painting & Sketching with Nancy TillesLearn how to create a portrait for the first time or enhance your existing skills. A live model will be provided so that the structure of the head and face can be observed from life. We will go beyond line and detail to sculpt the illusion of form with paint, charcoal or pastels. Additional model fee is $10 per class, paid to the instructor. Supply list is available at registration. Classes begin Wednesday, February 22 from 1-4pm. Watercolor & Acrylic Painting with Joan HambletonLearn to paint using each medium separately or in combination. Classes will include color theory, perspective, wet on wet, negative space and other techniques. There will be daily and group demonstrations, as well as personal and group critiques. The class will encourage experimentation and developing your own style. Experience is helpful but not necessary. Supply list is available at registration. “Jamie’s Angels” Special Needs Tennis Instruction Saturday, February 25, 1-2pm - Underwritten by the Frank family in memory of their daughter Jamie Alexa, “Jamie’s Angels” is meant to make young people with special needs into tennis players. Local teaching professionals will be joined by other volunteers in this effort. Players: There is no charge to participate, but please call (561) 775-8277 to sign up. Welcome Back, Katie!We're excited to announce that Katie Waskiewicz is back on staff at the Palm Beach Gardens Aquatics Complex. Katie was previously a lifeguard for the City of Palm Beach Gardens for 4 years and has now returned as the Aquatics Programmer. Katie will serve as the Makos swim team supervisor, as well as assisting with the coordination of swim lessons, camp groups, aquatic programs, and much more! If you happen to see Katie, please say hello and give her a big "Welcome Back"!

Private Swim Lessons & CoachingGet ready NOW for summer! Private lessons are offered by appointment only on a one-on-one basis at times that fit your schedule. Our qualified instructors make learning more enjoyable for swimmers of all levels. Lessons take place in our heated pool. Water AerobicsWater Aerobics class, taught by our popular instructor, Rosalyn, provides an exciting high energy, low impact workout in our heated pool. This activity offers a great way to increase muscle strength and flexibility while alleviating pressure in the joints. All equipment needed for the class is included; just bring a towel! PBG Makos Swim TeamThe Makos Swim Team combines stroke refinement, drills, endurance training, and fun games to improve a swimmer’s overall swimming abilities in a fun team environment. Pre-School Registration
The Riverside Youth Enrichment Center will be taking 2017-18 registrations for the pre-school, VPK and after-care programs. Open enrollment will begin on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:30am.
