Drop off your letters to Santa in our special holiday mailboxes inside the Burns Road Recreation Center and Riverside Youth Enrichment Center. Don’t forget to watch your mailbox for a reply from Santa! Note: to receive a letter back from Santa, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your child’s name on it.

Meet & Greet Artist Amber M. Moran

GardensArt, a City of Palm Beach Gardens art in public places program, presents “Celebrating the Sunshine State”, an exhibition of watercolor and illustrations by Amber M. Moran, ArtiGras’ 2017 Poster Artist. Moran’s trademark style combines watercolor and illustration by extending her artwork onto the mat using black ink, creating a “window” of color. Exhibition runs Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm through January 4, 2018. More Information

Tree Lighting Festival

Wednesday, December 6  |  6-8pm

Don’t miss this fun, family event celebrating the beginning of the holiday season. Santa, Mrs. Claus and the PBG City Council will be there to light the tree on Wednesday, December 6 at 6pm. Enjoy the music and other activities until 8pm.  More Information

Recreation Gift Cards

Give the gift of fun! Recreation Gift Cards may be purchased at the Burns Road Recreation Center and PBG Tennis Center and used for class fees, pool admission fees, rentals and even snacks at the Snack Shack. It’s a great gift or stocking stuffer for the holidays!

Class Registration

Starting Tuesday, December 12th, register online or in person for new Winter/Spring classes and programs starting in January or later. Most classes have a minimum number of students that they need in order to run. Sign up in advance so they don’t get canceled due to low enrollment! Visit our website for information on Recreation programs or pick up a brochure at any Recreation facility.

Special Recreation Holiday Hours

All supervised Recreation facilities including Burns Road Recreation Center, Aquatic Complex, Tennis Center, Lakeside Center, Riverside Youth Enrichment Center and the Skate Park will be closed on Monday, December 25. Click this link for a listing of other special holiday hours for each of these facilities. Have a safe and happy holiday season!

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club 

Wednesday, December 20 

The GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club will celebrate the holidays with a dinner at Paddy Mac's on the 20th of December, followed by a Chinese Auction. If you are interested in joining them, call Lorraine Macey at 561-627-9564; she will inform you as to cost and selection of the meal.  Deadline is Dec. 13th.  Also, mark January 17, 2018, on your calendar so that you don’t miss the next meeting that will include a program on Japanese Flower Arranging, followed by an Art Show by the members. Fitness/Wellness Classes

Putting on the pounds between Thanksgiving and the New Year? Need to de-stress or get energized to make it through the holidays? Whatever your needs are, we’ve got the class for you! Go to the Fitness/Wellness page of our website and check out the classes including Zumba, different types of Yoga, Barre Pilates, Jazz & Stretch, and core and interval training Stroller Power classes  such as HIIT it, In The Middle and Intense Intervals, where you’re welcome to bring your little one along!

Holiday Food Drive

See the future of tennis! Once again, the Tennis Center joins the PGA National and Jupiter Bay Clubs in hosting this premier event for youngsters through 12 years of age who come from all over the U.S. and around the world. We expect a great group of 450 players! Click here for information or to enter. 

Adult 1-Day Mixed Doubles and Lunch

Forty players had a great time at a similar event on November 18. Everyone will get another chance before the end of the year! On Saturday, Dec 9 from 10:30am-3pm, three rounds of paired mixed doubles, 8-game pro-set format are played in ability-based groups, with lunch and socializing to follow. Available online at, Activity #332101-4D. Another similar event will be held Saturday, Jan 13, 10:30am-3pm, Activity #132101-1D.

Jamie’s Angels Tennis for Players with Special Needs

Saturday, December 16, 1-2pm - Lisa Pugliese and Howard Chodak will lead an hour of instructive activity and fun. Drinks and snacks are provided. This program continues to be sponsored by the Frank family in memory of Jamie Alexa Frank and is free of charge.

Youth Holiday Tennis Camps

Kids, stay active over the holidays! Two sessions of tennis camp are available: Week 1, Dec 26-29 (4 days), and Week 2, Jan 1-5 (5 days), with two options: Camp Little Pros (ages 4-6, 9-10:30am) and Tennis & Fitness Camp (ages 7-17, 9am-Noon). Become a Lifeguard!

Have you ever wanted to become knowledgeable on pool safety or become a certified lifeguard?  If so, then come and be a part of our exciting lifeguard training course on Wednesday thru Friday, Dec 27-29. Participants ages 15 and up will learn all of the ins and outs of pool safety and how to put your training into action. Looking for a part-time or summer job? Join our Masters Swimming Program

If you are an adult looking to be a part of a team in an exciting environment, then our Masters Swimming program is the perfect program for you. Train, make new friends, and improve your all-around health at the PBG Aquatic Complex. Private Swim Lessons

If you are looking to learn or improve your swimming throughout the winter months in a temperature regulated pool, then the Aquatic Complex is the place to be. Come and enjoy the experience of having one-on-one training in our heated pool. Private lessons are offered on a first come, first served basis, so hurry and sign up today!  More Information

Stay Fit with Water Aerobics

Have you ever looked for a workout that can improve your overall strength and fitness while reducing the pressure on your joints? If so, then come to our high energy water aerobics class. This activity offers a great way to increase muscle strength and flexibility while alleviating pressure in the joints. Come improve your overall fitness in our exciting classes.
