Pickleball is a fast-growing game that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court using a modified tennis net. Please join us as we open our fantastic new pickleball courts!

Pirate’s Well Wiffleball TournamentRegister by November 21 for a discounted rate.
Teams of 4 will compete for the prestigious wiffleball crowns (along with other prizes) that will be awarded to the champions. Adult and Family divisions available; all players receive a gift bag including jerseys to be worn on the day of the tournament - December 12 from 10am-4pm. After-party will be hosted by Pirate’s Well. Fees are $125 per team before 11/21, $150 after 11/21. Register online or in person at any Recreation service desk.

Class RegistrationRegister online or in person for new classes and programs starting in November. Most classes have a minimum number of students that they need in order to run. GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's ClubWednesday, November 18 | 7pm Lakeside Community Center, 10410 N. Military Trail The Woman's Club will be sponsoring "Operation Christmas Child" (a project of Samaritan's Purse International Relief), at the November 18th meeting. Members will be decorating shoe boxes - SHOEBOX GIFT - for boys & girls. Items needed: small stuffed animals, balls, books, puzzles, wrapped candies, hygiene items (no liquids) - hair clips, combs, brushes, etc., school supplies, markers, coloring books, and other items for young children. Recreational Dance Classes Ages 18 months - 10 yrs+We offer the following recreational (non-recital) dance classes: ‘Baby Steps’ (Parent and Me), ‘Leaps & Bounds’ (first year Ballet), ‘Toe Tappers’ (Ballet & Tap Combo), and ‘Combo’ (Ballet/Tumble). For ages 10 years and older, try our new Pre-Pointe classes designed to prepare ballet dancers for the study of pointe work. Convenient morning and afternoon programs begin the first week of November and take place at the Burns Road Rec Center. Visit our website for a complete description of all youth dance classes. Sing Out Classes with Sandi RussellThis Premier Vocal Music Program is a series of group singing lessons that will prepare you to sing like a star! In the "Sing Out" program, you will learn proper singing technique as it applies specifically to performance singing (and, of course, for FUN). Classes take place on Tuesdays, Nov 10-Dec 15 at Burns Road Rec Center. Age: 5-6 3-3:45pm Res/Non Res fee: $75/$94 Age: 7-13 4-5pm Res/Non Res fee: $80/$100 Register online or in person.
Sports School’s Out Days and School’s Out DaysSchool’s Out programs are offered for K-8th graders on November 11, 16, 25 & 27 from 7:30am-6pm at Burns Road Rec Center. Sports Days, instructed by Press On Sports, include learning and playing a variety of sports. (There is no Sports School’s Out Day on Friday, November 27.) For regular School’s Out Days, kids will be kept active and entertained with games, arts & crafts, field trips on certain days and other fun activities. Register in advance online or in person. Next Level Basketball Your child will be one step ahead of the rec basketball league competition with instruction from PBG High School’s Boys' Basketball Coach, Drew Quinn. Stretch, Stroke & Turkey CampWednesday, November 25 from 8am-4pm at the PBG Aquatic Complex - designed for the competitive youth swimmer who wishes to improve their swimming skills and flexibility. Stroke work, drills, endurance training and Yoga are all combined in this one-day camp to improve all levels of the competitive swimmer. Campers must bring lunch and must have the ability to swim 100 yards continuously. Resident/Non-res Fee: $50/$63. Register online or in person.

New! Watercolor Painting - Beginner & Intermediate LevelAdults 18 years and older can have fun learning basic techniques and color theory. Pre Natal Yoga Classes with Beth Green, certified instructorThursdays, Nov 5-Dec 17 from 6-7pm Lakeside Center, 10410 N. Military Trail This class teaches a multi-faceted approach to exercise that encourages gentle stretching, moderate strengthening postures, relaxation techniques and focused breathing. Benefits may include improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles for childbirth, and decreased back pain, nausea and shortness of breath. LaBlast (formerly called Dancing for Your Health)Created by World Dance Champion and current Dancing with the Stars professional Louis Van Amstel, and instructed by Madeline Sabatello, LaBlast is a partner-free, interval-based cardio workout that incorporates moves from dances seen on Dancing with the Stars. Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:30am at Burns Road Rec Center. Res/Non-res Drop-in Fee is $10/$13 per class.

Join the 55 and over PBG Adult/Seniors Club for only $25 per year for residents/$50 per year non-residents. Membership includes weekly activities and some special events.

Adult/Senior Bingo Burns Rd Rec Center every Monday 1-4pm; arrive early at 12:30pm to purchase your cards. Free entrance for members and first time guests. Regular guest rates are Res $3/Non-res $5 per person. Free coffee/tea and snacks are served, as well.
Mah Jongg – Lessons and games on Tuesdays and games only on Wednesdays, 1pm-5pm, at the Lakeside Center, 10410 N. Military Trail.
Gardens Book Club – Takes place every third Thursday of the month at the Lakeside Center from 1-2pm. This month’s book is “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt. Join our Holiday Sweet and Savory Pot Luck Treat on Thursday, November 19. Movie Days – Every Tuesday and Thursday at the Lakeside Center, 1-3pm (except on the third Thursday of the month).

Thanks to California Pizza Kitchen, Joseph’s Classic Market, Sa-lute Market, and Chef Tim Raymond who provided the kick-off lunch on October 2nd, and to retired pro Frank Pisciotta, who lent his expertise to our fun “triples” format.
