Mandy Horton (Ms. Mandy) VPK, Four's and After School Teacher

Hello, my name is Ms. Mandy and I am a VPK teacher for one of our 4-year-old classrooms at Riverside Youth Enrichment Center, as well as the After School Program teacher. My philosophy in teaching would be best described like reading a book. The first chapters are meant to be an introduction toward the special journey that unfolds as the chapters continue. Much like the classroom, daily experiences of preschool help build the young minds as they continue the journey of knowledge. During our day the normal subjects of teaching are covered like math, reading, music, and general knowledge. But that is not all that can be taught. I like to think that laughter is also taught during the day. We all work together to make sure we laugh daily to help the teaching process prevail.
